Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Manager to oversee our survey operations in the Lisle, IL office. The Survey Manager will lead a team of survey professionals, ensure the delivery of accurate and timely survey data, and collaborate with engineering teams to support the successful completion of projects, and provide overall advancement for the department. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about precision, technology, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the surveying team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee field and office survey operations to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of survey data for engineering, construction, and land development projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand survey requirements and deliverables.
- Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software (e.g., GPS, total stations, AutoCAD Civil 3D) for data collection and analysis.
- Prepare and review survey reports, maps, plats, and other documentation.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land surveying.
- Develop and implement efficient survey processes and workflows.
- Monitor and manage survey budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance survey capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying, including leadership or management roles.
- Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center) and equipment.
- Strong understanding of legal descriptions, boundary law, and topographic surveys.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Commitment to safety and quality assurance.

Rewarding Compensation
- Compensation: $120,000 - 160,000
- The salary range provided is a general guideline. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and overall alignment with the role and company needs.
