Position Overview
As a Construction Management Intern with CAGE, you will join our Development Services & Construction Management team working on real client projects from day one. You will develop technical skills in construction coordination and site oversight, and build professional skills like networking and organization, through on-the-spot training every day. You will also have a mentor who checks in with you regularly throughout the summer, along with optional office hours each week to meet one-on-one with CAGE leaders, ask questions, and get to know the people leading the company. Success in this role looks like steady growth in your technical skills, real contributions to your project team, and a strong sense of what a career at CAGE could look like.
Typically Reports To: Construction Manager
Typical Years of Experience: In current pursuit of a BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; no prior professional experience required

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with organizing and preparing for pre-construction meetings
- Support coordination between engineers and consultants to help integrate their work with project schedules and progress
- Assist with estimating, scheduling, drawing review, and budget tracking for projects
- Help with scheduling and coordinating contractors
- Assist in reviewing development agreements
- Support project site supervision and site visits
- Help review pay applications
- Assist with the project closeout process
- Learn and follow the company's safety program in all phases and areas of the project
- Take part in on-the-spot training every day, building technical and professional skills as you go
- Meet regularly with your assigned mentor throughout the summer
- Attend optional office hours each week to meet one-on-one with CAGE leaders
- In current pursuit of a BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook; exposure to project scheduling programs a plus
- Focused, motivated, and results oriented
- Strong desire to learn and advance one's technical skills
- Comfortable working outdoors and on active job sites
- Ability to learn quickly and accept constructive criticism
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence

- Compensation: Starting at $25/hr
- The compensation provided is a general guideline. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and overall alignment with the role and company needs.
